Introducing Country Butchers Meats

Over 35 years ago, Ben Creese, owner of Country Butchers, began as a cattle farmer. What started as a small family farm soon grew into a butchery shop in Staunton, supplying quality, locally reared meat to the community.
As demand grew, Country Butchers expanded into catering contracts for schools and colleges, before moving further into wholesale. Today, Country Butchers supplies prestigious independent schools and major sporting venues, including rugby and cricket grounds. They’ve even proudly supplied beef for the Royal Box on Cheltenham Festival Gold Cup Day, served to the Princess Royal!
The business is also a story of people. Paul, now Managing Director, first began his apprenticeship with Ben in August 2007. With meat as his lifelong trade, Paul returned nearly two decades later to lead the business into its next chapter - continuing the Creese family values of quality and care.
Recently launched with Mudwalls Food Group, the Country Butchers brand brings premium, locally sourced British meat to our growing customer base, while keeping food miles low through strong relationships with farms just a few miles from their base.
